Although our programs have been carefully crafted for ease of use and dependability, there are times when assistance is needed. The following lists some issues that do arise periodically that may help you in solving your problem in a timely manner. Please review the following list for a possible solution to your problem. Should your problem continue to persist, then contact our technical support at support@tqs.net. Thank you. All Products - MS Vista Run-Time Error '75' Error 75 on VISTA is due to security restrictions. If you have installed your Vprogram on VISTA, you must "Run As Adminstrator", or set the exe compatibility to "Windows XP/SP2" and "Run As Adminstrator". All Products - MS Vista OS Error Microsoft is in the process of introducing a new OS called Vista which does not include all of the support files required to run many of our products at this time. Should you get an error indicating a missing MSVBVM50.DLL file, then you will need to visit MS website to install a support file that is critical to the operation of the programs. In the meantime we are working on updates to our program to accommodate this change. Golfer's Diary CD - Registration File Missing This error is most commonly caused by copying the Golf Diary directory to a new location or computer. The Diary requires a complete installation using the installation file found on your CD or at our download center. This ensures that all of the necessary support files are installed and registered properly. If you are a registered user of the Diary, send the new registration number to orders@tqs.net to receive your new activation code. Golfer's Diary CD - Install Error; request Windows NT service pack Please note that Windows XP is not naturally compliant with earlier versions of the Diary. Should you get an error on installation, you may right click on the installation file, select properties and click on compatibility tab. Check off compatibility mode, select Win 98 and OK. Double click on the file to install. All Products On occasion, a support file that is critical to the operation of programs is not available or functional on the user's computer. In this case you may see a message that describes a file that is missing, and the program will not run. Microsoft has a support web page to provide a convenient way of re-installing these support files. Please click here to access the Msvbvm50.exe download. Other files may be found here and saved to your Windows system directory. Should you experience this problem, please help us by dropping a quick message to tech@tqs.net with a brief description of the problem and how you made out. StatWiz - all users The original StatWiz series was designed for small fonts display. The use of large fonts results in column titles being offset in Stats Manager. This issue has been resolved in the latest upgrades now available by clicking on your sport to the left and selecting the upgrade page. Alternatively, you may select display properties - advanced - and select small fonts. StatWiz - all users Please click your sport type to the left and visit the upgrade page. Your current version is located on the upper left title bar in your StatWiz program. If you are not current, then click "Upgrade Now" button to install the latest version. StatWiz - all users If you lost your program due to a computer failure or maintain a backup on a second computer, then click the sport type to the left and download another copy. A new registration code will be created. It can be found by clicking on menu option "Registration" in your Golfer's Diary StatWiz program. Registered users may email this number to orders@tqs.net to receive a new unique activation code. Golfer's Diary & Reference CD - Activating Handicap If you are having difficulty activating the tracking handicap feature, please note that all fields must contain valid information to comply with the USGA requirements. That is, you must enter your current handicap index exactly as it is displayed on your handicap card (e.g. 14.0, NOT 14 ) and your handicap number that is 7 digits or less without spaces or other characters. Golfer's Diary - "Run-time error '75': Path/File access error Should you receive this error when adding a golfer, search for a file named "golfer.dat", right-click, select properties and uncheck "read-only" property. The reason this occurs is unknown ar this time. Golfer's Diary - moving data files To install the Diary CD to a new computer, insert the CD or diskette into the accessory drive and click install. Your golf files are most likely found in a directory called "C:\Program Files\TQ Sports Software" on your old computer and will end in "dat". Copy all of these files to a floppy or email to your new computer and copy them to a similarly named directory. Baseball StatWiz - players missing from lineup Please enter all eligible players in the batting order for the first inning only with subs placed after the first 9 batters. The program uses this list for the attendees and the lineup summary is keyed off of this list. All other innings may include the proper substitutions or omissions. Baseball StatWiz - Game notes box partially obstructed by stats Visit http://www.tqsports.com/baseball/upgrade.htm to upgrade to version 6.03. In addition, the ability to print a visual field by inning is great for the younger players. Golfer's Diary - upgrade from CD The Golfer's Diary download version 6.01 is essentially the same as previous version 5.60. The handicap changes for 2002 were very minor and would only affect a scratch golfer. Please visit http://www.tqsports.com/golf/handicap.htm for handicap details. Upgrade is not advised at this time.
